About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant Practitioner to join our Community Team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in supporting the recovery and well-being of adults with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a range of psychosocial interventions to service users, promoting independence, self-care, and social inclusion.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members to deliver interventions and support activities.
  • Assess client responses to activities and amend programmes as necessary, escalating clinical issues to Occupational Therapists when required.
  • Communicate effectively with service users, carers, and colleagues, highlighting clinical risks and contributing to ongoing risk reduction and management.

Requirements

  • Relevant experience in a mental health or community setting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to assess client responses and adapt programmes accordingly.
