Join Our Team as a Programme Director

We are seeking an experienced Programme Director to lead a large-scale, £20 million programme to deliver a new Student Record system for the University of Hertfordshire. This is an exciting opportunity to lead one of our largest change programmes to date, working closely with key stakeholders and leadership across the organisation to ensure the new system is aligned to the needs of our admissions, enrolment, assessment, graduation, curriculum management, and student finance teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the procurement and tender process for the new Student Record system
  • Build and scale the resources for an effective change management function to ensure programme implementation is delivered on time and to budget
  • Work in partnership with the selected vendor and the University Executive leadership team to ensure critical decisions, priorities, and risks are managed in the best interests of the University
  • Collaborate with the Digital, Data, and Technology function to ensure the new system integrates with other key systems and services critical to the operations of the University and the experience of our students and staff
Requirements
  • Substantial proven experience of leading complex, large-scale, Enterprise level SaaS implementation programmes
  • Experience of writing impactful committee/board papers or business cases
  • A good technical understanding, with knowledge across enterprise applications, cloud technologies, integration, and architecture
  • Excellent understanding of business change management practices
  • Significant experience of leading high-performing teams (direct and matrix managed) to deliver at pace
  • Extensive experience of working with a diverse range of stakeholders and external partners to deliver and develop digital products and services
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of an organisation, whether non-technical or technical
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary of £77,764 - £82,980 per annum, dependent on experience
  • Fixed-term contract appointment, until 30th September 2028
  • 35 days annual leave, in addition to bank holidays, discretionary, and closure days
