Overview

Amazon's Risk and Compliance Solutions is seeking a governance and administrative expert to support our regulated financial services operations across various regions.

Located in a dynamic environment, the successful applicant will join a high-performing team of governance professionals, working closely with senior leadership to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Global Head of Governance in delivering premier governance services, providing support on a wide array of issues to aid the Entities' Committees in fulfilling their roles and responsibilities, meeting compliance requirements, and achieving strategic goals.
  • Oversee the complete lifecycle of Committee meetings, including scheduling, coordination, document review, agenda preparation, and effective management of minutes and action items.
  • Lead the formulation and enhancement of governance policies, ensuring alignment with regulatory mandates, industry best practices, and organizational needs.
  • Conduct regular assessments of existing governance policies and terms of reference, recommending updates to address evolving regulatory changes and organizational requirements.
  • Coordinate induction and training initiatives.
  • Drive efforts to streamline and improve governance processes, promoting transparency and accountability within the organization.
  • Collaborate closely with Shared Services teams to provide comprehensive support for internal meetings, including Ask-Me-Anything (AMA) sessions and offsite planning, which involves coordinating logistics, preparing meeting materials, and ensuring seamless execution of events.

About the Team

The RCS Global Governance Function is dedicated to supporting licensed legal entities across all regions, focusing on ensuring the following:

  1. Entities operate according to high corporate governance standards and comply with the governance regulatory requirements imposed by their respective jurisdictions.
  2. The Boards of Directors, as governing bodies of these Entities, have clearly defined and documented roles and responsibilities, providing effective oversight and direction.
  3. Standardized governance and secretarial support is provided to Boards and Committees across all Entities.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or a related field.
  • Experience managing confidential information.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional auditing qualification or similar risk or compliance credentials.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Excel.
  • Experience in defining program requirements, along with leveraging data and metrics to drive improvements.
