Compliance Officer for EMEA Markets

Attribution Search is seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Head of Trading Compliance, EMEA. This individual will collaborate closely with our Global Chief Compliance Officer, EMEA Chief Compliance Officer, and EMEA General Counsel to refine, improve, and enhance our Legal and Compliance platform for the region.

The successful candidate will support the continued growth of our investment teams and incoming Portfolio Managers, managing all aspects of the compliance monitoring program. They will serve as the primary contact for front office investment teams, technology, and the business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the implementation and ongoing oversight of Regulatory Technical Standards 6 under the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive II.
  • Providing expert trading advisory compliance for our front-office teams, ensuring that our algorithmic trading strategies adhere to regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborating closely with Portfolio Managers, Traders, and Risk Teams to develop and maintain a robust compliance framework.
  • Staying ahead of regulatory changes and advising on their impact on our operations.

Key Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in investment compliance within a hedge fund, investment bank, or similar financial institution.
  • Proven track record in implementing RTS 6 for MiFID II, with a deep understanding of the associated regulatory landscape.
  • Strong background in algorithmic trading, with the ability to bridge the gap between complex trading strategies and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in providing trading advisory compliance for front-office teams.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and drive change across the organization.
