Job Summary:

The University of Edinburgh is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Scholarships and Student Funding team as a Scholarship and Student Funding Officer. This role will be responsible for providing administrative support for all scholarships, bursaries, and financial support managed within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the provision of fund administration for all scholarships, bursaries, US federal and private lending, and financial support managed within the team.
  • Prepare documentation to support regular and emergency payments to students, ensuring appropriate approvals are in place.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to respond promptly to inquiries and investigate payment issues that arise.
  • Be proficient in Excel, Access, SharePoint, and Word to provide reports on Key Performance Indicators and to answer FOI requests.
  • Support planning, reconciliation, and audit activity.

Requirements:

  • High level of accuracy and good organization and administration skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Access, SharePoint, and Word.
