Student Wellbeing Assistant

This role plays a vital part in delivering front-line advice and support to students within the Student Wellbeing department. As a Student Wellbeing Assistant, you will work closely with Assistant Disability Advisors and the Student Wellbeing Administrator to ensure a friendly, efficient, and helpful frontline service is delivered.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service and front-line advice to students, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive experience.
- Carry out administrative tasks, including financial processes, data management, and procurement systems.
- Support students with disabilities, including initial assessments, dyslexia testing, and providing relevant information and resources.
- Log student contacts and run reports to ensure quick turnaround times and an excellent customer experience.
- Provide administrative support for the Student Counselling and Student Experience sections.
- Support students in accessing academic resources and services.
- Undertake continuing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Good educational standard with excellent spoken and written English.
- Experience in responding to enquiries and providing advice, information, and guidance.
- Experience in working in front-line services, assessing responses, and providing advice and guidance.
- Experience in handling confidential and sensitive information.
- Experience in using IT systems, including Microsoft Office and finance systems.
- Experience in administrative tasks and implementing new processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and customer-focused approach.
- Ability to handle large volumes of data and excellent organisational skills.
This role is part of the Disability Team within the Student Wellbeing department, working closely with colleagues from Counselling, Student Experience, and the Chaplaincy teams. The Student Wellbeing department provides advice, information, and support to undergraduate and postgraduate students throughout their student lifecycle.
