We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at EMCOR Group (UK) Plc. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and wellbeing of our employees, contractors, and clients.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Provide training and guidance to employees and contractors on health and safety procedures and best practices.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement safety initiatives and programs.
- Develop and maintain accurate records and reports on health and safety performance.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in health and safety laws and regulations, and ensure compliance.
- Proven experience in health and safety management, preferably in a facilities management or construction industry setting.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety laws and regulations, including OHSAS 18001/45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees, contractors, and clients.
- Ability to analyze data and identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to take ownership and accountability for health and safety performance.
- Valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle for business travel.
