About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team at Social Development Direct. This is a mid-senior level position that will play a critical role in the sustainable growth of our Equal Education and Green Economies and Infrastructure portfolios.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and win new opportunities for the company through proactive business development and portfolio management.
  • Lead on technical and commercial proposal development, working closely with colleagues from our technical, project management, and finance teams.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing partners and clients, as well as identify new opportunities for joint working.
  • Convene decision makers to make swift and informed decisions on whether to bid or not.
  • Manage a pipeline of opportunities and maintain accurate reporting of all sales activity.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Significant experience in a business development or sales role, ideally within the international development sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and capitalize on new opportunities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to the development of the BD Team annual workplan and objectives.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of £43,000 - £55,000, commensurate with experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional development.
