About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Domestic Abuse Support Specialist to join our team at Supporting Futures Consulting Ltd. As an Evening Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting victims of domestic abuse living in a refuge in Cheshire West.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to women and children who have experienced domestic abuse, empowering them to make positive choices and achieve independent living.
  • Work with clients to create a safe and homely environment through organizing activities and events that encourage client engagement and promote feelings of safety and comfort.
  • Offer advice and guidance on issues related to domestic abuse, housing, benefits, criminal justice, and other relevant matters.
  • Develop and implement support plans, conduct risk and needs assessments, and facilitate access to additional support services.
  • Deliver trauma-informed, person-centered support, promoting group work, activities, and engagement within the refuge.
Requirements
  • Experience supporting vulnerable clients and a deep understanding of domestic abuse and its impact.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as part of a rolling rota.
  • Valid driving license and access to a car.
