Howells Solutions Ltd is seeking a dedicated Repairs Supervisor to oversee our social housing maintenance operations. In this vital role, you will ensure the smooth management of repair tasks across our housing units, prioritizing the safety and satisfaction of our residents. Your primary duties will encompass:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of maintenance professionals and contractors in addressing urgent repair requests.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of properties to assess maintenance requirements, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Organize and prioritize work orders, scheduling repairs, and overseeing the daily operations of the team.
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, including materials utilized and associated costs.
  • Monitor financial aspects of maintenance projects, recommending cost-effective strategies.
  • Foster positive relationships with residents, promptly addressing their inquiries and concerns.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure effective communication regarding housing issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to management on the status of maintenance operations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in maintenance management or related fields are advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in social housing or property maintenance, with at least [1] year in a supervisory capacity.
  • Strong technical expertise in building maintenance, repair, and renovation.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in maintenance management software and basic computer applications.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to housing maintenance.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
