About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and forward-thinking Clinical Psychologist to join our PALMS Team as a Band 8a member. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and delivering high-quality services to children and young people (CYP) and their families across Hertfordshire and West Essex.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Intervention: Prepare comprehensive assessments, intervention/review reports, and discharge plans for CYP referred to the PALMS Team, utilizing complex data from various sources, including semi-structured interviews, self-report measures, rating scales, and direct/indirect structured observations.
  • Formulation and Implementation: Develop and implement plans for the formal intervention and/or management of CYP presenting difficulties, including challenging behaviors, toileting, feeding, sleeping concerns, problematic sexualized behavior, and/or mental health difficulties, based on an appropriate conceptual framework of the CYP's needs.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology and registration with the relevant Registration Body.
  • Experience: Evidence of relevant qualifications and registration with the relevant Registration Body if applicable.
