Job Summary:

Hampshire County Council is seeking a skilled IT Contract Manager to oversee the management of our IT contracts and suppliers. The successful candidate will work closely with the Service Management Team to develop and implement policies and practices for commercial and contract negotiation, establishment, service oversight, and compliance of major IT contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain relationships with IT suppliers and contractors
  • Develop and implement contract management strategies to ensure compliance and cost-effectiveness
  • Collaborate with the Service Management Team to identify and implement service improvements and cost-saving initiatives
  • Provide expert advice on contract negotiation and management
  • Ensure adherence to ITIL Service Management principles and best practices

Requirements:

  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Ability to lead and manage service improvements and cost-saving initiatives
  • Experience working with legal professional services
  • ITIL Service Management qualification
  • Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

What We Offer:

Hampshire County Council operates a hybrid working model, allowing flexibility for staff to work from home or in the office. Our IT Hub is based in Winchester, and the successful candidate will work closely with the recruiting manager to determine the most effective location for the role.
