About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical Site Manager to join our team at North Bristol NHS Trust. As a key member of our Clinical Site Management team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and safe running of our site, working closely with clinical and managerial personnel to resolve any site issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a flexible team approach to ensure a safe and secure site and an efficient and effective bed management service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • Provide advice and support to clinical ward teams, empowering them to be proactive in the management of patients in relation to admissions and discharges.
  • Ensure all patients requiring admission are allocated an appropriate bed in a timely manner.
  • Through role modeling and constructive challenge, promote a culture of engagement and willingness within clinical areas to own problems that affect the quality of patient experience with regard to admission and discharge.
Deputising and Site Issues

You will deputise for the Clinical Site Manager and attend site issues such as:

  • Attending and managing collapsed or unwell patients in both clinical and non-clinical areas.
  • Attending and overseeing management of serious falls as part of the response team.
  • Coordinating management of missing patients.
  • Facilitating staffing plans out of hours.
  • Liaising with estates to manage any building issues.
  • Deputising at all fire calls for the fire safety officer.
  • Supporting Code Red calls in Women's and Children's.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with the following essential skills and experience:

  • First-level registered nurse.
  • Experience of managing a team/service.
  • Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team at a senior level (Band 6).
  • Experience of leading and managing complex problem-solving.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • Able to teach, mentor, and coach others to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Able to manage high-level situations which may cause personal stress and demand day-to-day.

Desirable skills and experience include:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
  • ALS/ILS trained.
  • Post-registration specialist clinical qualification relevant to clinical site management.
  • Ability to write reports, risk, and issues logs, project plans.
  • Project management skills and evidence of having delivered sustainable change within a clinical environment.
