We are seeking a Lead Environmental Compliance Officer to oversee a team responsible for enforcing local regulations aimed at safeguarding the community's environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Environmental Enforcement Officers in the field and through reporting systems.
- Investigate incidents of littering, illegal dumping, pet waste, and other environmental violations.
- Address complaints related to environmental quality and anti-social conduct.
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels of Environmental Enforcement Officers are maintained in accordance with service agreements.
- Monitor, guide, and manage team members in line with contractual obligations.
- Conduct return-to-work interviews and uphold attendance standards within your team.
- Share knowledge and maintain effective communication among all staff members.
- Achieve overall client satisfaction and participate in necessary training sessions.
- Collaborate with both the Waste Management and Environmental Health departments.
What We Expect from You:
- A minimum of one year’s experience in a supervisory capacity serving clients.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Background in environmental enforcement and related services.
- Experience in public awareness and community relations initiatives.
- Dependable and skilled in managing challenging situations.
- A valid clean driving license is preferred.
What We Offer:
You will receive a competitive salary of £29,120 per annum. This position requires full-time commitment, covering any five days from a seven-day week.
