Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned, innovative, and hands-on Senior Project Engineering Manager to spearhead innovation, standardization, and growth within the Amazon Logistics (AMZL) network.

Key Responsibilities
As part of the UK/IE Field Engineering team, you will oversee a diverse array of deployment projects, including:

  • Managing complex, concurrent projects associated with the implementation of engineering solutions across the AMZL delivery stations in the UK/IE.
  • Taking ownership of a program or a suite of projects related to technology launches or retrofits, encompassing Automation and Material Handling Equipment.
  • Leading the entire project lifecycle from initial concept and budget formulation to final handover to stakeholders.
  • Independently managing various tactical phases of projects, addressing constraints related to resources, capital expenditure, and timelines.
  • Collaborating with senior management across functions to propose solutions that address potential conflicts.
  • Identifying process inefficiencies and leading initiatives for improvement at both local and European levels.

A Day in the Life
Your role will involve planning and executing engineering projects primarily within AMZL delivery stations across the UK/IE, and potentially in the EU. Daily activities may include:

  • Engaging cross-functionally to establish program strategies.
  • Monitoring deployment progress on-site.
  • Planning and managing resources to align with business objectives.
  • Facilitating efficient handover processes to customers.

Team Environment
The UK/IE Field Engineering team is a diverse group of project and program managers dedicated to coordinating all activities necessary for the safe construction of complex solutions within the AMZL network. We prioritize work/life balance and focus on the development of our team members.

Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in Industrial, Mechanical, or Process Engineering.
- Experience managing multiple complex projects or programs.
- Proficiency in engineering design tools such as AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with planning and analysis tools like Excel and Microsoft Project.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience in a Logistics Automated environment.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach.
