Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned, innovative, and hands-on Senior Project Engineering Manager who is passionate about enhancing the Amazon logistics (AMZL) network through innovation, standardization, and expansion.
Key Responsibilities
As part of the UK/IE Field Engineering team, you will oversee a variety of deployment projects, including:
- Managing complex, concurrent projects focused on engineering solutions deployment within the UK/IE Amazon Logistics (AMZL) network.
- Owning a program or portfolio of projects related to technology launches or retrofits, including Automation and Material Handling Equipment.
- Leading the entire project lifecycle from initial concept and budgeting to final handover to stakeholders.
- Independently managing various tactical phases of projects, addressing constraints related to resources, capital expenditure, and timelines.
- Collaborating with senior management across functions to provide solutions that resolve potential conflicts.
- Identifying process inefficiencies and proactively leading improvements at both the national and European levels.
A Day in the Life
Your responsibilities will include planning and executing engineering projects primarily within AMZL delivery stations across the UK/IE, with potential EU involvement. Your daily tasks may involve:
- Engaging cross-functionally to align on program strategies.
- Monitoring deployment progress on-site.
- Planning and managing resources to achieve business objectives.
- Facilitating efficient handover processes to customers.

The UK/IE Field Engineering team consists of a diverse group of project and program managers dedicated to coordinating the safe construction of complex solutions within the AMZL network. We prioritize work/life balance and are committed to the development and support of our team members.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
- Experience in Industrial, Mechanical, or Process Engineering.
- Proven track record as a Project Manager for multiple complex projects.
- Proficiency in engineering design tools (e.g., AutoCAD) and planning tools (e.g., Excel, Microsoft Project).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience in a Logistics Automated environment.
- Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach.
