Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of purification techniques, preparing antibody and peptide conjugates, and assisting with the day-to-day running of the lab. This is a lab-based role that requires strong laboratory skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the team in their lab work, ensuring that all production work is carried out to high quality standards.
  • Carry out purification and conjugation processes to deliver completed experiments in line with production schedules.
  • Develop effective relationships across a variety of different teams within Abcam.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality policies, SOPs, and Health and Safety procedures.
  • Contribute to the housekeeping tasks within the Purification & Conjugation Lab areas.
  • Keep stakeholders informed and up-to-date by sharing all relevant information and taking part in cross-team discussions.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a degree in biological sciences or equivalent practical experience within a laboratory. They will have a strong understanding of protein purification and conjugation techniques, as well as experience in pipetting and materials handling in a lab environment. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work precisely and follow instructions are essential.
