About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Beacon Support Worker to join our team in Hertfordshire. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing support and advocacy to victims of anti-social behaviour, ensuring they receive the help and guidance they need to cope and recover from the impact of crime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake needs and risk assessments to identify individual support requirements and develop tailored plans to address these needs.
  • Provide navigation, advice, guidance, and advocacy to victims, ensuring they are fully informed and empowered to navigate the criminal justice system.
  • Work closely with multi-agency partners to facilitate a coordinated response to address identified needs and risks, ensuring victims receive comprehensive support and guidance.
  • Represent the Beacon service at community partnership meetings and forums, ensuring the victim's voice is amplified and their needs are represented.
  • Ensure timely risk assessments, safety and support plans are in place, and referrals are completed to promote victim resilience, recovery, and long-term wellbeing.
Requirements
  • GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • Full driving licence and access to a car
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary of £27,040 per annum
  • Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
  • Fixed-term contract until January 2025, with possibility of extension
  • Blended approach of office working, home working, and visiting clients across Hertfordshire

  • Access to a car and full driving licence is a requirement of this role
