Clinical Nurse Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in our Adult Inpatient Unit. This is a full-time, permanent role working Monday to Friday.

About the Role

  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise to our multidisciplinary team.
  • Develop and extend nursing practice to improve patient outcomes.
  • Assist with performance appraisals, auditing, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide mentorship and support to nursing staff to ensure high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of nursing practice and policies in the Adult Inpatient Unit.
  • Collaborate with the Charge Nurse Manager to deliver excellent nursing care and treatment.
  • Provide expert clinical nursing knowledge and leadership to the team.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with the multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

  • Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current APC and scope for Mental Health Nursing.
  • At least three years post-graduate experience in an inpatient mental health setting.
  • Relevant post-graduate qualification or working towards one.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
