About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in mental health to lead our clinical team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of clinical leadership, with a focus on developing and extending nursing practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and expertise to the team, ensuring high-quality care is delivered to our patients.
  • Develop and implement clinical policies and procedures, ensuring they are aligned with best practice.
  • Collaborate with the Charge Nurse Manager to develop and deliver nursing care and treatment plans.
  • Conduct performance appraisals, audits, and quality improvement initiatives to ensure the team is meeting its goals.
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior staff members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver high-quality care.
Requirements
  • Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current APC and scope for Mental Health Nursing.
  • At least three years post-graduate experience in an inpatient mental health setting.
  • Relevant post-graduate qualification or working towards one.
  • Excellent clinical nursing knowledge and leadership ability.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
