  • Offering comprehensive family support, including guidance to specialized services.
  • Delivering training to families and care staff.
  • Participating in multi-disciplinary meetings, including child protection discussions.
  • Advising on health matters related to education, health, and care plans.
  • Supporting children with sleep challenges through a dedicated nursing sleep service.
  • Mentoring and supervising junior staff and nursing students.

This position provides an opportunity to enhance a diverse skill set within a dynamic environment.

  • Familiarity with statutory legislation and national policies affecting children's services.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
  • Experience in supporting and supervising staff and students.
  • Ability to engage with challenging families and manage conflicts effectively.
  • Capacity to work independently and manage workload with minimal oversight.
  • Knowledge and experience in safeguarding practices.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for work-related purposes.

Benefits

We prioritize creating a supportive work environment, offering a comprehensive range of resources, competitive salary, and benefits that facilitate hybrid working. Employees at Achieving for Children enjoy:

  • 29 days of annual leave, increasing to 33 days after 2 years and 35 days after 4 years, plus an additional day off in the birthday month.
  • Tailored induction sessions starting on the first day of employment.
  • Access to Local Government salary and pension schemes.
