Perinatal Mental Health Consultant

We are seeking an exceptional Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Perinatal Mental Health Service at Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to women and birthing people experiencing mental health difficulties during the perinatal period.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a multi-disciplinary team in providing evidence-based care and treatment to women and birthing people with perinatal mental health needs.
- Develop and implement effective care plans, working collaboratively with service users, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of training programs for staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent care.
- Participate in service development and improvement initiatives, driving innovation and excellence in perinatal mental health care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and stakeholders to ensure seamless care pathways and optimal outcomes for service users.
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practice.
- Inclusion on the Specialist Register or eligibility for inclusion.
- Certificate of Completion of Training in General Adult Psychiatry (ST6 trainees should be within six months of attainment at the time of the interview) or CESR equivalent.
- Section 12 (2) MHA 1983 approved.
- Approved Clinician (AC) status/eligibility to be on the AC register.
- MRCPsych or equivalent.
- MD, Other professional qualification (MSc)
- Coaching training
- Leadership training
- Training in evidence-based interventions for Perinatal Mental Health patients.
