We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Perinatal Mental Health Service at Sheffield Health and Social Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to women and birthing people experiencing mental health difficulties during the perinatal period.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a multi-disciplinary team in providing evidence-based care and treatment to women and birthing people with perinatal mental health needs.
- Develop and implement effective care plans, taking into account the complex needs of individuals and their families.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care pathways and optimal outcomes.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures.
- Participate in teaching and training activities to support the development of junior staff.
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practice.
- Inclusion on the Specialist Register or eligibility for inclusion.
- Certificate of Completion of Training in General Adult Psychiatry or CESR equivalent.
- Section MHA 1983 approved.
- Approved Clinician (AC) status/eligibility to be on the AC register.
- MRCPsych or equivalent.
- MD, Other professional qualification (MSc).
- Coaching training.
- Leadership training.
- Training in evidence-based interventions for Perinatal Mental Health patients.
