Strategic Partnerships Account Executive

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
As a vital member of the Partnerships Account Management team, your primary focus will be to enhance the financial benefits derived from sponsorships by:
- Ensuring the delivery of contractual partnership rights at a level that promotes renewal across various accounts.
- Identifying additional revenue opportunities that can be offered to partners, thereby enriching their association.
- Guaranteeing that all intangible and Value in Kind (VIK) benefits are effectively delivered to support the NEC Group.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Foster and maintain productive commercial relationships between clients and the NEC to ensure all contractual obligations are fulfilled.
- Recognize suitable upsell opportunities for existing business within the NEC Group.
- Oversee the execution of partnership activations.
- Organize and prioritize workload in accordance with current business demands.
- Contribute to monthly reports detailing business activities.
- Collaborate with marketing to create and present regular industry reports to partners on an ad-hoc basis.
- Engage in proactive discussions with partners to generate innovative ideas that maximize exposure and encourage contract renewals.
- Coordinate with finance teams to ensure clarity in reconciling all partner costs.
- Act as a deputy for the Senior Account Manager when necessary.
- Establish and maintain effective communication channels and working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage the customer database, ensuring it is continuously monitored, evaluated, and updated with relevant information.
- Collaborate with the Senior Account Manager to ensure all contract elements are executed in accordance with the agreement.
- Ensure that all sponsorship implementations align with operational considerations and health and safety standards.
- Conduct regular meetings with partners to review contract obligations, report on progress, and ensure timely follow-up on all actions.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
- Proven account management experience in similar market sectors.
- Strong skills in selling, negotiation, and presentation within a commercial context.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in all aspects of the Microsoft Office suite.
- Consistently delivers on time and strives to exceed client expectations.
- Able to achieve both personal and team objectives.
- Dynamic and forward-thinking, with a focus on maximizing opportunities and revenue.
- Highly motivated to develop additional revenue streams and adept at creative problem-solving.
- Proactive and self-driven, capable of managing daily tasks with minimal supervision.
- A determined individual with account management experience and a resilient attitude.
