About the Role:

GEMINI RECRUITMENT SERVICES LTD is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housing Solicitor Supervisor to join their team. As a key member of the Housing Department, you will be responsible for leading a team of solicitors and providing technical expertise and guidance to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to clients.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of solicitors and provide technical expertise and guidance to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to clients.
  • Manage a caseload of public and private housing cases, including Homelessness, Disrepair, Eviction, Possession, Property Ownership Disputes, Succession for Tenants, and Neighbourhood Problems.
  • Attend clients, take instructions, and prepare cases.
  • Deal with correspondence and maintain accurate time costing procedures.
  • Implement recommendations made by supervisors following monthly file reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with file management.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Valid Practicing Certificate at the time of applying.
  • Proven supervisory experience and working to key performance indicators.
  • Excellent client care skills and ability to deal with vulnerable clients.
  • Excellent networking and communication skills.
  • Ability to use own initiative and sound judgment.
  • Working knowledge of publically funded Housing work and ability to service privately funded cases.
  • Extensive experience in dealing with Housing related work.
  • Experience in own advocacy is an advantage.
  • Excellent IT Skills - familiar with Microsoft Office applications and document management skills.
