Gemini Recruitment is partnering with a leading law firm to recruit an experienced Housing Solicitor Supervisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of housing-related matters, including homelessness, disrepair, eviction, and possession proceedings.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of housing-related matters, including homelessness, disrepair, eviction, and possession proceedings.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior team members.
  • Assist with casework, including dealing with public and private housing cases.
  • Attend clients, take instructions, and prepare cases.
  • Deal with correspondence and maintain accurate time-costing procedures.
  • Implement recommendations made by supervisors following monthly file reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with file management.

Requirements:

  • Valid Practising Certificate.
  • Previous supervisory experience and working to key performance indicators.
  • Proactive approach, excellent client care skills, and ability to deal with vulnerable clients.
  • Excellent networking and communication skills.
  • Ability to use own initiative and sound judgment.
  • Working knowledge of publicly funded housing work and ability to service privately funded cases.
  • Extensive experience in dealing with housing-related work.
  • Experience in own advocacy is an advantage.
  • Excellent IT skills, familiar with Microsoft Office applications and document management skills.
