About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of solicitors and providing technical expertise and guidance on housing matters. They will be expected to manage a caseload of complex housing cases, including homelessness, disrepair, eviction, and possession proceedings.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of housing law and a proven track record of success in managing a team. They will be able to demonstrate excellent client care skills, a sensitive and sympathetic approach to clients' needs, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of complex housing cases
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members

  • Ensure compliance with file management procedures and maintain accurate time costing records
Requirements
  • Must have a clean, valid Practicing Certificate at the time of applying
  • Proven supervisory experience and working to key performance indicators
  • Excellent client care skills and ability to deal with vulnerable clients
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to use own initiative and sound judgment
  • Working knowledge of publically funded housing work and ability to service privately funded cases
