Job Overview

Position: Estimator

Salary Range: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, based on experience

A leading manufacturer specializing in bespoke commercial environments is seeking an Estimator with excellent interpersonal skills to enhance their team in Coventry on a permanent basis.

Key Qualifications:

  • 1-5 years of experience in a technical estimating role
  • Familiarity with materials such as sheet metal, fabrication, welding, and machining
  • Experience with 3D CAD software is advantageous
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and generate comprehensive quotations
  • Strong customer relationship management skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively

Responsibilities:

  • Producing detailed quotations based on technical drawings and models
  • Handling reactive sales inquiries via phone and email
  • Building and maintaining customer relationships
  • Converting successful estimates into confirmed orders
  • Reading and interpreting engineering specifications
  • Collaborating with the Sales team
  • Updating estimating tools with accurate cost data
