Residential Operations Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Residential Services Supervisor to join our team at the University of Southampton. This is a full-time, permanent position within the Operations team in our Residential Services department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day running of our student accommodation sites, ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures, and maintaining high standards of service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of our student accommodation sites, including staff supervision and coordination of maintenance and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with university policies and procedures, including health and safety, security, and customer service standards.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the student experience and enhance the quality of our accommodation services.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless and efficient service delivery.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to residential services.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a higher education or residential services setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and external partners.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and evenings, to meet the needs of the role.
- Knowledge of relevant policies and procedures, including health and safety, security, and customer service standards.
