Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the manufacturing or construction sectors.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Confidence in making procurement decisions and spearheading cost-saving initiatives.
  • Proficient in MS Office and possesses a good telephone etiquette.
  • Willingness to engage actively in all facets of the procurement process.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Demonstrated success in realizing cost savings through strategic procurement practices.
  • Experience in sourcing timber, ironmongery, glazing, and other materials for garden structures.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to cultivate robust relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proactive and self-driven, with a commitment to continuous process improvement and results delivery.
  • Able to thrive under pressure and effectively manage multiple priorities.

Not Suitable For:

  • Candidates lacking procurement or purchasing experience.
  • Individuals who are hesitant to negotiate with suppliers or lack the confidence to pursue cost savings.
  • Those who find it challenging to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Candidates who cannot work independently or as part of a team.
  • Individuals unwilling to engage in all aspects of the procurement process.
