Position: Child and Adolescent Clinical Psychologist

We are in search of a dedicated and skilled Clinical Psychologist to become a vital part of our team, concentrating on enhancing the emotional health and wellbeing of children in care and young adults transitioning from care. This role is crucial in delivering direct support and expert guidance, collaborating closely with children, foster families, residential caregivers, social workers, and multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct specialized psychological evaluations and therapeutic interventions to address the mental health requirements of children and adolescents involved in our programs.
  • Provide consultative support and training for foster caregivers and residential staff.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to create and execute plans that foster secure attachments and mitigate placement disruptions.
  • Perform risk assessments and contribute to a psychologically-informed care framework across all environments.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Psychology or a related discipline; registration with a relevant professional organization.
  • A minimum of three years' experience working with children, adolescents, and families.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with a background in multi-agency collaboration.
  • Familiarity with Care Planning and attachment-based models is advantageous.
