About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Physiotherapist to join our team at Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our COPD team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients with chronic respiratory conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive respiratory physiotherapy assessments to identify patients' physical, psychological, and emotional needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, ensuring patients receive holistic care.
  • Lead the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Programme, including assessment, education, and exercise prescription to improve patients' quality of life.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Physiotherapist.
  • Degree in Physiotherapy.
  • Post-registration experience in respiratory care, preferably in a community or hospital setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing patient needs.
