About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Physiotherapist to join our team at Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our COPD team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients with chronic respiratory conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive respiratory physiotherapy assessments to identify patients' physical, psychological, and emotional needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, including pulmonary rehabilitation programs.
  • Utilize excellent communication skills to ensure patients and carers have a clear understanding of their care plans and goals.
  • Lead the running of the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program, including assessment and completion of outcome measures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of accidents, incidents, or complaints within the team.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Physiotherapist.
  • Degree in Physiotherapy.
  • Experience in pulmonary rehabilitation, working within a multidisciplinary team, and managing respiratory conditions.
  • Excellent clinical reasoning skills, up-to-date knowledge of respiratory physiotherapy treatments, and well-developed IT skills.
