About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Physiotherapist to join our team at Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our COPD team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients with chronic respiratory conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive respiratory physiotherapy assessments to identify patients' physical, psychological, and emotional needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team, ensuring patients receive holistic care.
  • Lead the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Programme, including assessment, planning, and implementation of interventions to improve patients' quality of life.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication with patients and their families.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and service delivery.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Physiotherapist.
  • Post-registration experience in respiratory care, preferably in a community or hospital setting.
  • Excellent clinical reasoning skills, with up-to-date knowledge of respiratory physiotherapy treatments and current research.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the needs of the service.
