About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Learning Support Assistant. This is an exciting opportunity to work with adults with special educational needs and disabilities, providing educational development and pastoral support in a range of formal and informal settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist and contribute to the educational development and pastoral support of adults with special educational needs and disabilities.
  • Support the education and training of adults, working collaboratively with key specialist Tutors and the Inclusive Learning Manager.
  • Deliver workshops and training for students as needed, ensuring that all individuals receive the support they require to achieve their goals.
  • Support access arrangements in examination settings for those with special educational needs and disabilities.

Requirements

  • A relevant qualification in special educational needs and/or experience working with adults with SEND.
  • Sufficient knowledge of relevant computer applications to teach skills on a basic level.
  • Experience of working with adults with special educational needs and disabilities, with a strong understanding of the unique challenges faced by this client group.
  • Ability to develop training materials and individual training plans, with a focus on recording student progress and reviewing regularly.
