Main Duties of the JobThe successful candidate will be responsible for delivering on a number of overarching portfolios that span the Directorate, including cancer performance and delivery, staff engagement and communication, workforce planning, and financial efficiency. They will work closely with externally provided data to drive service improvement and ensure that the Directorate meets its targets.
Working for Our OrganisationMaidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is a large acute hospital trust in the south-east of England, providing a full range of general hospital services and specialist care to around 600,000 people. We have a team of over 8,000 full and part-time staff and provide specialist cancer services to around 2 million people across Kent and East Sussex.
Person Specification- Essential criteria:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a management role, to include staff, budget, and operational experience
- Experience as an effective team leader, demonstrating leadership skills and the ability to motivate others
- Experience of managing complex budgets, including their control and deployment
- Demonstrable success in working collaboratively across professions, services, and organisational boundaries
- Desirable criteria:
- Formal project management qualification
- Coaching and mentoring qualification
