Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to join our team at CBW Staffing Solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the cleaning operations on a unique site in Central London.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the cleaning services contracted to the tenant offices and retail units, ensuring they are delivered outside normal office hours.
  • Oversee the provision of services to public and non-public washrooms, including feminine hygiene services, air fresheners, hand cleansing, waste removal, and consumables.
  • Manage the window cleaning services, ensuring their safe delivery and client liaison regarding access and frequency.
  • Manage waste disposal contractors, accountability of controlled waste, and bulk waste.
  • Manage pest control services across the site, interpreting monthly reports.
  • Manage budgets for all soft services and payroll, ensuring operations deliver value for money and within expenditure parameters.
  • Monitor budgets for all soft services, ensuring compliance within budget while considering budget variations for annual budget review.
  • Conduct regular team meetings with staff, informing them of their overall performance.
  • Address health and safety issues, undertake Toolbox Talks, induction of new staff, and sharing general information regarding the wider business.
  • Ensure statutory compliance of all soft service operations, delivering operations safely and in accordance with site policies.
  • Ensure teams are fully resourced in the most efficient manner, liaising with corporate HR regarding recruitment, leavers, absence management, discipline, and performance management.
  • Ensure the entire facilities services operation achieves a high standard of services at all times, reporting building faults to the Help Desk for action.
  • Meet regularly with the Account Manager (AM) to demonstrate that all operations are delivering the required standards.
  • Liaise regularly with stakeholders and tenants to gauge perception of service delivery and deal with any issues as they arise.
  • Manage a team of 40 to 50 cleaners/supervisors.
Requirements
  • Experience in waste management and front-of-house services.
  • Direct responsibility for the management and delivery of cleaning operations in a diverse and challenging environment.
  • Managed auditing processes for a range of services and performed to service KPIs.
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and presentation skills.
  • Competent in the use of IT, including all MS Office packages.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record in delivering excellence in the facilities services environment.
  • IOSH qualified.
  • Financial management of an equivalent value in budget for staff, contractors, and commodities.
  • Relevant personnel management skills and experience.
  • Direct responsibility for operational H&S compliance.
