Clinical Research Physician

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Research Doctor/Physician to join our team.
About the RoleWe are looking for a senior surgical trainee who is approaching or has completed their CCT to work with 5 Consultant Surgeons to obtain experience in Pancreatic cancer surgery including minimally invasive and surgery for acute and chronic pancreatitis.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical care for acute, elective and outpatients under the supervision of the pancreas consultants.
- Participate in the general surgical out of hours specialty registrar rota providing emergency care for acute surgical admissions and referrals.
- Conduct outpatient clinics independently, with support from a consultant.
- Support theatre sessions including day-case surgery.
- Advanced Life Support Certificate from the Resuscitation Council UK or equivalent.
- Hospital at night team working experience.
- Demonstrates clarity in written/spoken communication and capacity to adapt language as appropriate to the situation.
- Capacity to use logical/lateral thinking to solve problems/make decisions, indicating an analytical/scientific approach.
- Able to work in multi-professional teams and supervise junior medical staff.
- Experience in making clinical decisions and managing risk.
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
