Job Overview:

In the capacity of Group Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for directing all engineering maintenance and enhancement activities, ensuring operational excellence, safety, and superior customer service. This position calls for a proactive leader who can foster an inclusive workplace culture that emphasizes team welfare and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet engineering performance targets as outlined by Key Performance Indicators.
  • Drive the implementation of best practice engineering and operational excellence initiatives, focusing on predictive maintenance.
  • Ensure adherence to established procedures and specifications.
  • Optimize business processes from start to finish.
  • Shift from reactive maintenance to predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Design and execute maintenance and overhaul frameworks.
  • Formulate a 5-year strategy for equipment longevity and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate on a capital expenditure plan to support production requirements.
  • Oversee supplier performance and cultivate strong partnerships.
  • Encourage a culture of professional growth within the engineering team.
  • Guarantee compliance with hygiene, health, and safety standards.
  • Assume full responsibility for profit and loss and target achievement.

Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of engineering maintenance and overhaul practices, ideally within the bottling sector.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Experience in continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong project management acumen.
  • Proficient in computer applications.
  • Experience managing budgets and capital expenditures.
  • Familiarity with food manufacturing hygiene, quality assurance systems, and health and safety regulations.
