Role Overview

At CPC Engineering, our network of regional workshops is dedicated to enhancing the efficiency, productivity, and safety of our operations.

The success of our projects relies on a collaborative approach, allowing you to work alongside and assist a variety of skilled tradespeople to achieve success in all tasks.

Key Responsibilities

As a Trades Assistant, you will be integral to CPC's construction and maintenance efforts by:

  • Supporting tradespeople in their responsibilities across diverse areas such as boiler-making, fitting, scaffolding, and general labor tasks.
  • Conducting scheduled maintenance as necessary.
  • Executing assigned tasks as directed by your manager, supervisor, leading-hand, or other tradespeople.

Additionally, you will contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Prior experience in an engineering or mining setting.
  • Completion of Year 10 or equivalent education.
  • Experience as a mechanical trade assistant.
  • Proficiency in various maintenance activities.
  • Capability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
  • Ability to pass medical and drug & alcohol screenings.
  • Strong communication and team-building skills.
  • Relevant computer skills.
  • Willingness to work in remote locations.
  • Possession of a current WA driver's license; a HR license is advantageous but not mandatory.
