About This Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our Occupational Health and Wellbeing Service as an Occupational Health Adviser Trainee. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the health and wellbeing of NHS staff and external clients.

Your Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive immunisation, screening, and health surveillance programs.
  • Coordinate and participate in the delivery of these programs for both new and existing employees.
  • Undertake clinical and administrative duties as directed by senior Occupational Health Advisers and the Clinical Services Manager.
  • Conduct individual client assessments and perform clinical tasks such as venepuncture, vaccinations, and BCG scar checks, adhering to established protocols and ensuring accurate client identification and sample labelling.
  • Interpret pathology results and take appropriate action. Provide emergency and ongoing support, including treatment, advice, and information for clients who sustain sharps and needlestick injuries.
  • Participate in relevant in-house training programs for new and existing employees.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.
