Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Specialist, you will play a vital role in the assessment, treatment, and clinical management of patients with complex, acute, and chronic presentations.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Treatment Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with complex health and social care needs, and develop treatment plans that address their individual needs and goals.
- Clinical Management: Work autonomously to manage a caseload of patients, using clinical reasoning and critical thinking to support assessment and treatment.
- Collaboration and Communication: Develop collaborative treatment programs with patients, carers, and colleagues, demonstrating client-centered reasoning and specialist problem-solving techniques.
- Intervention and Evaluation: Implement occupational therapy interventions to enable patients to achieve their optimum level of independence, and evaluate patient progress, reassess, and review treatment programs as required.
- Knowledge and Experience: Possess knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices, and have experience of working with patients with complex health and social care needs.
- Skills and Abilities: Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
