Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Analyst to join our team. As a Commercial Analyst at Cheesecake Energy Ltd, you will play a critical role in our sales and business development efforts by providing in-depth analysis and strategic recommendations to support the commercialization of our compressed air energy storage systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough techno-economic analyses to evaluate the feasibility and financial potential of CAES projects, including assessing project economics, financial models, ROI calculations, and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Investigate and analyze market trends, competitor strategies, regulatory frameworks, and industry benchmarks related to energy storage and CAES technologies.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, engineering, and project management teams to ensure alignment on project requirements and customer expectations.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, dashboards, and presentations summarizing analysis findings, market insights, and business development opportunities.
  • Continuously refine and improve frameworks, tools, and methodologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our commercial processes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience (2+ years) in conducting techno-economic analysis, financial modeling, or business analysis within the energy sector or related industries.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools. Python or similar coding skills preferred.
  • Ability to interpret and present complex data clearly and concisely.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
