Capital Modelling Lead Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Capital Modelling Lead to join our team at AIG. As a key member of our Economic Capital Modelling Team, you will play a critical role in developing and improving our capital models, ensuring they remain best in class.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, implementation, and testing of new capital models for AIG's Group and Local Economic Capital Models.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather business requirements, design, and test results.
  • Develop and implement new methodologies and metrics, and participate in working groups to advance industry practice.
  • Present to Risk Committees on model changes and developments.
  • Document models and interact with the Internal Model Validation team.
  • Coach and train Analysts on Capital Modelling and review their work.
Requirements:
  • Degree in a quantitative field.
  • Qualified or nearly qualified Actuary.
  • Extensive experience as a GI Economic Capital Modeller.
  • Strong experience in stochastic modelling techniques, including Insurance Risk, Market & Credit Risk, Operational Risk, Reinsurance, and aggregation methods.
  • Knowledge and experience in Solvency II and other regulatory regimes.
  • Experience in large projects and team coordination.
  • Strong quality control and review skills, both qualitative and quantitative.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
