About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Children & Young People Mentor to join our team at Protocol Education Ltd. As a Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of our students, aged 11-16, with a focus on reading and literacy skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and small group support to students with varying needs and abilities
  • Work closely with students to set and achieve personal learning targets and goals
  • Monitor and record student progress, identifying areas for improvement and celebrating successes
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people, preferably in an educational setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse needs and situations
  • Flexibility and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports
