Job Title: Legal Counsel

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Counsel to join our client's dynamic and multi-disciplinary team at an exceptional international wealth management company. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in guiding informed decision-making and ensuring risks are identified and minimized.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert legal advice and guidance to the business, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Manage and advise on commercial contracts, litigation, complaints, compliance, employment, competition, intellectual property, and brand law.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external law firms and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Legal to develop and implement effective legal strategies.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and provide recommendations to minimize risks.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory changes, ensuring the company remains compliant.
  • Work closely with the legal team to provide training and support to junior lawyers.

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with at least 2 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
  • Proven experience in in-house legal roles within regulated financial services organizations or large commercial law firms.
  • Strong knowledge of financial products and industry practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage competing priorities.
