Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Counsel to join our dynamic team at Reed, where you will play a crucial role in guiding informed decision-making and ensuring risks are identified and mitigated for our clients in the international wealth management industry.

Key Responsibilities

As a Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert legal advice on commercial and financial services contracts, litigation management, compliance, employment law, competition law, intellectual property law, and brand law.
  • Managing external law firms and ensuring that our clients receive the best possible service.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective legal strategies.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory changes to ensure that our clients remain compliant.
  • Providing training and guidance to junior lawyers and other team members.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least 2 years of post-qualification experience as a qualified solicitor or barrister.
  • Experience working in a regulated financial services organisation or a large commercial law firm.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to provide expert legal advice.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve a common goal.
