Job Title: Specialist Paediatric Dietitian

We are seeking an experienced paediatric dietitian to join our award-winning team at Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Paediatric Dietitian, you will play a vital role in supporting children and their families with a diverse range of conditions, both face-to-face and virtually.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead/co-lead on the direct care of the paediatric enteral feeding caseload, encompassing a diverse group of patients with complex conditions and co-morbidities.
  • Involved in the care of patients with general nutritional concerns, such as faltering growth, nutritional deficiencies, allergies, coeliac disease, and restrictive eating.
  • Develop and implement patient information, protocols, and care pathways for specific interventions and conditions.
  • Contribute to the development of the team and provide training for others.
Requirements:
  • BSc in Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Membership of relevant Special Interest Groups.
  • Evidence of successful completion of specialist short courses up to Master's degree or equivalent.
  • Registered Member of British Dietetics Association.
  • Specialist BDA-approved Paediatric Post-graduate Training.
  • Full valid Driving Licence.
  • Modules 1 and 2 or equivalent experience, Modules 3 and 4 or equivalent experience.
Person Specification:
  • Experience in the field of paediatrics.
  • Specialist experience in paediatric dietetics, including enteral feeding, complex neuro-disability, and end-of-life care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of people at all levels.
  • Highly developed analytical and reflection skills.
  • Good IT skills and willingness to develop these.
