Community Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Public Health Nurse to join our team at Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust. As a key member of our School Nursing Service, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality healthcare to children and young people in our community.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, organize, and evaluate the School Nursing Service to meet the public health needs of local state schools and communities.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including Head Teachers, to ensure seamless delivery of services for school-age children and young people.
- Work in partnership with team colleagues to deliver the Quality Strategy objectives and contribute to the delivery of Working Together to Safeguard Children.
- Develop and implement health promotion initiatives in line with local and national health improvement targets.
- Supervise students and provide practice-based learning support to others.
- Registered Nurse/Midwife (current) with Specialist Community Public Health Nurse School Nursing qualification or equivalent.
- Experience of working collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team and inter-agency working.
- Knowledge of recent developments in primary care and community services, current health and social care agenda, and safeguarding issues.
- Ability to assess, plan, and implement programmes of care and write care plans.
- Experience of managing own workload, supervising students, and providing practice-based learning support.
- A comprehensive induction into the community service followed by a local induction to introduce you to the role.
