About the Role:

Xpress Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef de Partie to join our client's esteemed culinary team in the Scottish Borders. As a key member of the kitchen team, you will be responsible for leading a team of chefs in preparing outstanding food for up to 120 guests during peak periods, as well as catering for functions of similar scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Executive Head Chef to maintain high culinary standards in a dynamic and fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Lead a team of chefs in preparing food for the dining room, café, and events, ensuring quality, consistency, and portion control.
  • Collaborate with the front of house team to swiftly fulfil guest preferences and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas and recipes to enhance the culinary experience.
  • Contribute to the development of the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to junior chefs.

Requirements:

  • Relevant industry experience at the Chef de Partie level, with a strong background in professional cookery.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, to meet the dynamic needs of the business.
